Social cohesion and conflict mediation discussion session on March 8 of 2026

On March 8, 2026, the Universal Community Development Organization (UCDO) successfully organized a Social Cohesion and Conflict Mediation Discussion Session in Karakori Kebele, Efratanagidim Woreda. The event brought together different community representatives from government offices, community leaders, youth, women, students, and persons with disabilities to promote dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and collaborative conflict resolution.\\\\r\\\\nThe discussion created a safe platform where participants openly shared experiences, identified key drivers of local conflicts, and explored community-based mediation approaches. Through interactive dialogue, participants developed practical recommendations to strengthen social cohesion, mutual respect, and community cooperation.\\\\r\\\\nThe session also emphasized inclusive participation, ensuring strong representation of women, youth, and persons with disabilities, who play a vital role in sustainable peacebuilding and community development.\\\\r\\\\nThis activity is part of UCDO’s ongoing project aimed at strengthening social cohesion and local conflict mediation mechanisms in target communities.
